I ordered this product hoping that it was more than pepto bismol for cats and praying desperately that it would work. In March 09 I got a new kitten and she was given a clean bill of health from the pound and from my vet: ie, she has no worms and no other tummy conditions that would cause diarrhea. I did not want another expensive trip to the vet when the condition continued for a month, so I tried Nutra Vet Cal Anti-Diarrhea. It is a combination of Kaolin and Pectin in some minute quanity and DOES work. I mix a little in Gabby's wet food every 3 or 4 days and that does the trick, plus does not bind her up. When I notice increased wetness in the stool, I treat again. Treatments have decreased as the kitten gets older so I suspect it was a case of "too much wet food for a young kitten". Since the product is vet approved, the kitten did not have to go back to the vet (read multiple expensive tests) and the proportions are correct and I don't have to worry about that. If your kitty has a sensitive stomach,I recommend this for no diarrhea and no worries. CO

May have worked for some people but I think there are MUCH better products than this. Didn't work for my cats, it just made their watery diarrhea poop smell kinda fruity. (cherries mixed with poop) I am wondering WHY this stuff was flavored and has artificial coloring? The cat doesn't need this and certainly doesn't like it. This website also doesn't list ALL of the ingredients. Having the bottle right in front of me, the label says: Citric Acide, FD;C Red 40, Flavoring, Glycerine, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Carboxymethl-cellulose, Sorbic Acide, Sorbital and Water.
